My mother was placed in a nursing home by her sisters after an argument. I just got word she passed. What's my rights?

I’m so sorry about the loss of your Mother.

I doubt if Mom was put in a NH because of a fight. She needed to fit a criteria to be admitted.

If one or more of the Aunts were POAs, that stopped when Mom died. If Mom has a Will, then the Executor Mom assigned takes over. That person will make sure all bills are paid then any money left distributed to the beneficiaries. When it comes to an insurance policy, only the beneficiary on that policy receives the money.

I’m very sorry for your loss. You’ll have to be more specific In order for us to help you. What rights do you want now that your mother has passed away? Is there a disagreement with your aunts about something? Did your mother leave a will?
