She does not have any type of Medicare or Medicaid.

I think you are missing some information.

Nursing homes will provide those services. Maybe she is not in a nursing home, but a lower level of care. If she is in an elder apartment or assisted living, they do not provide those services generally speaking.

If she is over 65 and an American citizen, she had MediCARE. You can't not have it.

MedicAID is only for people with almost zero money and you have to apply for it.

Find the social worker at the facility where your mother is to talk about getting her benefits.

Talk to the director of nursing if you need to complain about her level of care. Maybe there is a misunderstanding about what they do vs. what she needs.

I'm also wondering about her apparent lack of health insurance. If she left the nursing home, was insurance the issue? Is she old enough for Medicare? Have steps been taken to get Medicaid for her? Does she have no insurance at all?

Wondering the same thing. That's something that should be in place with her care; you shouldn't have to provide it, unless you've taken your mother home.

Could you please clarify these issues?

Thania, your background information says your Mom is in a nursing home. Aren't they helping her with bathing, medications, etc?
