My mother made me the executor of her will and POA in 2011. At 89 her dementia has worsened. My niece, her husband, and my sister took advantage of her dementia and coerced her to add my niece to the POA. Then they went to all of her banks to get statements. Their intention is to steal from her. I need immediate help.

Dear Marylander,

Sorry to hear what is happening. Families are so tough. Barb has great suggestions. If you want, you can also check with an elder law attorney.

Your statement says that they added your niece to the POA. Does that mean as primary POA or secondary POA? If you are still primary POA, then they are even more out of line.

I agree with Barb's suggestions.
