My mother is 95 and has broken her arm. The bones have not knitted together. What about surgery?

My 96 year old father broke his ankle and had surgery this summer. The doc evaluated that he was a good candidate because his health was otherwise stable and he was committed to physical therapy for recover. Ask the doc if she is a good candidate for a successful surgery and recovery.
