My mother-in-law (85) won't wear her life alert or walk with her walker, what can we do to make her realize she needs both?

She has fallen 8-9 times within the last 6-7 months this last time 1 month ago she fell and broke her arm and now she won't wear her life alert or use her walker , my husband is very concerned but she yells at him and acts like she's fine what should we do? It's upsetting to me as well

This may be to simplistic of an answer - but for reasons all her own my mother would not wear the pendent style alert button. My dad wore the bracelet style. Dad misplaced his so we put the pendent on him. When the bracelet turned up mom began to wear it. As she changed residence a few times it was always the same - no necklace but okay on the bracelet so it definitely was a matter of preference.
