MIL seems like she's less confused. Can this happen?

I'm so confused now.  I talked to my mil with stage 6 Alzheimer's yesterday and she actually sounded somewhat normal. She was clear minded, knew we have four adult children, remembered my oldest and her three children moved to London and that my youngest son has a new baby. She sounded very depressed but not super anxious like she has the last few years. She even told me they need a storage unit and its $200.00 a month. In the past she'd have said $2,000. Or even 200,000. She has very slowly worsened but now it seems like she has improved. What is going on?
