My mother has the very beginning of dementia. What happens if a sibling is trying to take her property?

My mother has the very beginning of dementia. Dr sent to specialist for more tests. Brother is trying to take advantage of mothers trust financially. What can be done to stop this? Mother completely trust him and he is using this trust to do it.

Beginning of dementia she is still competent and able to make her own decisions, by law. Not until she is declared incompetent by courts or two doc's agree will things change. Maybe she should meet with an elder law attorney about the effect on her future care if her money and assets are not being spent on her needs.
