Mother has dementia and Alzheimer's. I brought her to my home thinking I could take care of her and work. I found out I couldn't. Advice?

Elder Attorney, get her doctors records regarding her dementia. Sounds like she is still in your home right? If so, I might suggest that you explore your options in a MC facility, would confirm that there is a need for the POA.

Please, if there is a senior center near you, get their recommend. Some attorneys will act at almost cost in the benefit of some elders. Ask around everywhere you can. Stop at local churches. You need to contact an attorney that is certified in elder law. If your mothers dementia is advanced she may have passed the point of being able to appoint you as her POA. The attorney could advise you.
