Use blister packs for her medication. It may help as a visual for her.

Sounds very challenging for you and your poor dad. I agree that UTI testing is always in order when someone behaves oddly.

A doctor visit could be helpful for a few things: UTI, depression, anxiety (maybe?), cognitive decline (if she doesn't have a UTI, why does she not remember taking her meds?).

There's help out there to help you figure these things out and hopefully get her back on a more even keel.

You could use your phone to video her taking the meds. Ask her to say the date (if she knows it) or you say it, then film her taking the meds. If she argues she didn't get the meds you can show her. But not sure if this will be more upsetting when she realizes she doesn't remember things. Or, she still may deny it. Not easy...wishing you solutions!

If this has come on suddenly, she should be tested for a urinary tract infection. If not, she needs to see her doctor. There are medications out there that can help with depression.
