Find Care & Housing
You can be your Mom caregiver, there are no steps that need to be taken.

Or are you thinking about where you can get paid? Please note the vast majority of adult children do not get paid.... unless their parent can pay them from their own retirement.

Is Mom, by chance, on Medicaid? You can check with your State Medicaid office to see if they have any funding to pay for caregiving. Each State is different, and with budget cuts, some programs will be eliminated, or there will be a waiting list. But it is worth a try.

You mentioned 24 hours care. Are you able to do the work of 3 full-time caregivers per day? You will find that you will crash and burn very quickly from the exhaustion.

When it comes to caring for our parent(s) we need to also think ahead.
