56? Rather young. Menopause?

CR, the OP states that her mother does not sleep at night, which might make a sedative or slept aid a good idea. She also says her mother "gets tired from weakness". It sounds as though her mom is weak, not tired.

Yes, Sumiara, we are all concerned about you!

Sumiara, where are you and your mother living? I replied to your post ten days ago, and I'm concerned that you don't seem to have had any luck finding out what is wrong with your mother.

That doesn't make sense to prescribe sedatives if she is already tired.

sumiara7, my mother had same symptoms. ..turned out she was very anemic ...once we started her on iron pills per the Dr., it took a month but she perked back up. They have to run blood tests to find out. I wouldn't recommend taking iron without knowing because you can get too much! Is your mom on any blood thinners? Like Coumadin? That was my mom's case...it had caused her to lose blood which ran down her iron. Is your mom tired a lot?
