What should I do about mom's refusing to bathe?

My mom refuses to bathe. So I have replaced toilet paper with wet wipes which she refuses to use. I have removed all paper from the home and now my dad says put the toilet paper back. Help. I have done what he asked but am now moving out as this is unhealthy for my mom and I want no part of it.

This is so common, try searching the site for answers to similar problems, type "won't bathe" or "won't shower" in the search box on the upper right.

Elizabeth, call around to the professional caregiving Agencies and ask if they have a "bath aide" and the hourly rate. This Aide will come in as often as you want and she will help your Mom with bathing only. These women have a ton of experience and can get the most stubborn elder to get into the tub or shower :)
