Momma's blood work came back with 0.6 for immature granulocytes - the range should be 0.0 - 0.3. She is incontinent. Should I be concerned?

Could this be a UTI or something more serious? The doctor didn't say anything - as far as I know and did not run a urine test?

It could be something. Her doctor will probably want to follow it to make sure her bone marrow is performing normally. I wouldn't expect elevated immature granulocytes from a UTI, but there are many things I don't know.

I just checked and yes elevated immature granulocytes happen in response to infection. I learned something new today. I imagined before that they left the marrow in mature form.
