Mom refuses to take a bath or shower. She says it's too much trouble.

Obviously, they must bathe, even if it's not several times a week. Hope you can use some of these tips to help your mother agree to this crucial aspect of hygiene.

I have had the same issue with my brother and elderly father. They think the wet towelettes that hospitals use are sufficient. I disagree, but finally decided that as long as they don't smell bad (at which point I let them know) and I watch for temperature changes (UTI's) it's just another battle I choose to let go.
