Look around on the forum and you will see Mom/Dad/Spouse is mad just about anything you can think of. If you turn yourself inside out every time someone is mad you will really be miserable. Use this forum to determine if your actions are reasonable and then give yourself permission to move on. They'll get over it. Don't let them have so much control over your emotional well-being. Difficult to do but better overall for everyone.

Thank you for the tip. It is still hard knowing this and I have told her those things. She complains about me to my sister whenever she gets a chance. It is hard when I get no thanks from her for all I do. For example, I have to tear the house apart at least once a week looking for her teeth. I cook her a meal and she hates it even though she is the one who taught me how to cook. She would not be able to live alone but threatens to sell the house. I can't go away for a full day or even think about going on vacation. I make these sacrifices because I love her and want the best for her. But an "attaboy" once in awhile would be nice. Well, venting seems to help, so thanks for letting me whine. BTW, I'm new to the forum & didn't realize I double posted it. Sorry & thanks again!

You already posted this question and here is my previous answer:

Your Mom will get over it in time. You will simply need to create a schedule to take her to her favorite places and shopping as needed. Long drives are also recommended...

In addition, you can tell your Mom: I love you Mom, and I have your best interest in mind, as well as other people that are driving on the road. You may be mad at me, but that will pass, and in the end, I would have to bear the guilt of you were to get into an accident, injure or kill yourself, and/or others on the road.
