I do the same. Let the doctor talk to my father first and then add things when they are done. Can you attend future appts for your mother with your sister? I would welcome my brothers and sisters attending with me.

Dentist should have given her instructions to put an ice pack on and off the first day. Also, should have given an antibiotic and pain killer.

Don't know how you can approach your sister. People like her tend to get worked up when someone tries to tell them they are wrong. I allow my Mom to talk and add to it if she hasn't told everything or can't explain. With her neurologist, I keep notes and give to him b/f the appt. I sit there while he asks Mom questions. When he is done with her he will ask me what I think.

Have your mom call the dentist and ask if bruising is typical and what should be done about it. If mom is in pain, she should speak to the doctor.
