Mom is in hospice care for COPD and Cancer.

What do you mean she refuses to lie in her bed? Is this when it is time to sleep or at all times? My mom has a hospital bed and it's great for her it can be moved up and down to her comfortable position. If she does not want to lie down at all maybe a recliner that goes back to laying down position would help?

I have someone from hospice come and bathe just sitting on the toilet bowl. Wet rag with soap that does not rinse off and she puts body lotion on her too and washes her hair. I love that that is one thing that I do not have to do and my mom cooperates with the woman and does not complain as she used to do with me.

My dad is just the same. Sometimes you just have to accept it is what it is. Hugs. J

Hospice can bring in a bathe aid who will give her a massaging bath and my guess is she will actually like it.
