Suddenly 3 weeks ago, her head and neck started drooping so eating became difficult. Now she is really not eating much and I am worried.

She can swallow thanks to the Thick-it stuff but she is so picky - has not done shakes but we will keep trying

Ensuring your mom gets proper fluids and nutrition is KEY to keeping her organs healthy! You might try making special shakes in a blender - adding supplements, ensure, fresh bananas, etc. Also, you might want to consider a PEG tube in her stomach. When one was recommended to me/my mom over a year ago - I said NO WAY - but we got one in June of this summer. Your mother has to get her vitamins and nutrients and WATER some how, some way. I would try the natural way first - fresh milkshakes with straws. Maybe she needs a swallowing test to make sure she can eat safely.
