Mom (97) still at home with me 24/7. I knew this could get harder but never imagined the incontinence getting so bad. l have tried up to three depends or assurance at night. I make sure she gets to the toilet right before retiring to bed. Lately she won't get out of bed to go the toilet...this is starting to occur in the day now, the constant reminding.she is so aware of other things, but the need to toilet herself isn't working.

Also meals are an issue now. I break up her calories, give her what she wants/needs but it's becoming a battle.
Any suggestions would be a blessing.♥

Try the men's diaper, but put it on backwards so all the absorbent material is underneath her. Pee flows down hill. She probably can't feel or control in her sleep.

Use hospital blue sheets under your Mom at night to help keep the bedding from getting wet. You can search vendors to see who sells *seconds*, they still do the job and are much cheaper than *first quality*.

I would ask the nurse about a catheter. So sorry, but it works.

Pam the thing that l don't understand is that it is not all the time? Why the fluctuation? Why does she go on her own sometimes snd other times not..
None of the doctors mentioned anything like that

What l was looking for was another type of actual diaper for the evenings especially, for bed times. I have been checking medical sites for the type carried at larger surgical supply companies...are there any that others have had success with?

Pam l was actually thinking about that, thank you! There is also a brand that states that their product holds up to 32 oz of fluid...cannot imagine how she could be cosuming that without me knowing, unless she is cupping the water in her hands in the bathroom when she goes.
Also freqfly, thank you, l just starting using them but had to switch to a double lined rubber sheet, with cotton padding on the flip side!
