Find Care & Housing
Is this fairly new behavior? Are there any other symptoms present? Great thirst, low grade fever, itching, burning sensation, confusion, memory problems -- anything? Make note of anything else that is going on, even if it doesn't seem related, and then take her in to see her doctor and discuss her symptoms.

This has got to be annoying to her and to you. I hope you can discover the cause and get medical help.

Yes it is something new. No problems like a uti. Before it was a constant itch on her back. Then a chronic backache. Now this. Perhaps out of boredom or just a anxiety thing

Talk to her dr and have them give her a full exam. He might be able to give her something to relieve the urge and or anti anxiety meds -- even for 30 days until it passes. Does she have enough outside stimulation or is this something that occurs certain times of the day? If it's not medical, maybe you can find an activity she likes during that time, like a walk, game, etc that can distract her til the urge passes.

I do believe she is bored because she really doesn't have any sort of hobbies. Anything I try to do to keep her busy she isn't interested... other than playing cards. The only good thing about her wanting to go the bathroom so often, is it is getting her up and walking.

Some senior centers have weekly card games. Sign her up.
