Find Care & Housing
My heart goes out to you. My mother had CHF as well. If you think she is getting worse, I would recommend an evaluation from Hospice. Better to have this done sooner rather than later in order to have them provide comfort care at the right time. I strongly recommend this in order to be proactive instead of reactive if the situation changes quickly - which can happen with CHF.

Also, you are your mother's advocate and don't hesitate if you have questions, etc. for hospice. They are extremely proficient in comfort care near the end and you want your mother to be as comfortable as possible.

Hugs to you and take care.

Define "soon". When you are 80, soon could mean two years. Soon when you are a kid is two days. As long as she is walking and eating, it's not soon.

I'm not sure if she's nearing the end, but I just wanted to say my thoughts are with you. Hugs...

Are they draining the fluid to keep her comfortable? Just enjoy every moment and let her know you love her. God bless.
