You are living the same h*ll that mom and I endured. Definitely take her to urgent care - or the ER if you have no urgent care. Hopefully they will be willing and able to help you, although mom and I were sent home with the issue unresolved and a suggestion to buy Miralax (which was especially unhelpful since it isn't called that here in Canada). If you need more help after this come back to the forum with more questions, bowel problems are a common topic.

Er, it says on your profile that your mother's primary care need is INcontinence? Has she been given any medications that might have affected her bowel habit?

I agree with Glad - it's been more than a week, get medical advice and DON'T try to correct this with any over the counter treatments until your mother has been examined.

By now she may very well have a blockage and need treatment. Call her doc.
