UTI made my 82 year old mom into a helpless person. After a stay in the hospital she recovered completely. As she ages and gets sick again & again it just knocks them down a little bit at a time till they are just a shell of what they have been. Growing old can be a bitter journey to watch.

Both illnesses are recoverable from as others have said depending on her current level of health. It does take several days for the meds to show a noceable effect but r cantell you more.

Depends on many factors: other health issues she may have, age, level of function before having these issues, overall strength/endurance, motivation...

Have you spoken to her doctor? When you will she recover, do you mean "is she dying" or do you mean "will she get back to her previous level of functioning"?

What are they treating her with? Your best bet would be to ask the doctor.
