My mother has dementia. Does anyone else have this problem where she eats all the time. I spend about two hundred fifty dollars a week just on food for her.

Is she at home or did she go to the facility that wanted so much financial information? How did issue work out?

Given that you're providing meals, I assume she's still at home?

That's a lot of money for food for one person. What kinds of food are you buying? Are you cooking, or are these prepared meals, or carryouts?

Does she have cravings, such as sugary food? That's not unusual for elders, but it can also contribute to eating more if she's not getting enough of the foods she really needs.

Could you give us an idea of what she eats? That may help in determining why her appetite seems to be continuous.
