Mom had HIDA scan last night and I will hear today if surgery is needed. Should I agree or insist on trying med route first?

My mom is 95, has AFib, CFH and high blood pressure. She was having gall bladder issues and is in hospital. My mom has told me in past she was afraid of anesthesia that she would pass on.

Do you mean CHF? Congestive Heart Failure? A HIDA scan can show a bad gallbladder or diseased liver or a leaky gut. Or all three, in which case they may suggest Hospice. Surgery will be very risky at 96.
