My mom (91) has dementia and lives alone. She has Medicare complete. Is she entitled to any in house help?

she also has a hard time walking. can i get someone to stay with her during the day for a couple of days a week? Will medicare help with the expenses. She functions ok.

Bunky18, it sounds like your mother needs help every day, since she does not walk well. Jeanne's question is a good one -- would she qualify for Medicaid? Medicaid would be able to help with home care or the cost of a nursing facility if she needs to go in the future.

Medicare does not cover in-home care on an on-going basis. Would she qualify for Medicaid?
