My Mom with vascular dementia will not be satisfied with calling me once and leaving a message. Any advice?

She will keep calling back over & over until I pick up. When i am swamped, running I find it so stressful, She will not wait until I call back. Any suggestions on dealing with this. She has a live in aide, but she cannot watch her 24/7 if shes cooking, etc.

Have the aid unplug the phone when she's away from your mom. Or get another number that your mom calls, that you only check when you feel like it, so she's not calling your "real" number. Or just turn off your phone until you feel like talking to her.
