My mother is not my dependant. But, she does not drive and I must go to her house, about 150 miles round trip, every week, to take her to doctors and for general shopping, food and such. Because of fuel and other cost for the day, it is starting to be a financial problem. Is there a mileage deduction I could take on taxes and how much per mile?

Call the IRS. I have found them to be most helpful when I had no idea what to do on forms or ask about deductions. Call them. They are not the enemy... unless you're trying to hide millions of dollars that is. ♥
