If I am primary caregiver to my elderly parents in their home?

There isn't any special health insurance benefits for caregivers. You would need to apply on the open market.

For Medicare, you automatically get this insurance when you turn 65 and had previously had payroll taxes taken out.

If you are under 65 and are not employed where the company gives you health insurance, you can purchase insurance through www.healthcare.gov.

If you have limited income and very little savings, you can try applying with the Florida Medicaid office.

Hope you find something as it is very important to have health insurance when you are a caregiver. I've had more sick days, and more injuries since helping my parents.
