My mother is in a nursing home. Time for Medicaid renewal came up. Made all necessary copies of bank statements, information needed and mailed it to the center with a tracking number. Per tracking number the paperwork was received by the office. The office sent me a letter stating since I failed to send in the paperwork, her Medicaid is being cancelled. I then put the paperwork online at the Medicaid website. I do have a hearing with them, no date scheduled yet from them. Any other ideas? The dentist who was scheduled to work on her teeth was cancelled per notice from Medicaid.

Go over it with the accounting manager at the NH, he/she is usually the one who takes the lead with this. He/She should be helping or contacting the state. The Accounting manager is my father's NH is really helpful and already knows and deals with the Medicaid case workers.

Do you still have proof of delivery?

I would make phone calls and send certified return receipt letters and email until you get a date to fix this.

Be sure and bring another set of copies for Medicaid and the proof that you mailed the documents with tracking and show delivery.

I am so sick of the incompetence when dealing with government agencies.
