Why do you want to withdrawl from Medicaid, I assume, health insurance. It pays what Medicare does not pay. A secondary insurance is needed to pick up the 20% Medicare does not pay. If u drop Medicaid, then you will need to pay out of pocket for another secondary. Otherwise, u pay the 20% and that can be a lot of money if there is a hospital stay or rehab.

In my state Medicaid means Dental, prescriptions and Vision. Medicare does not supply a perscription plan, you need to find one.

Please, do not change over to a Medicare Advantage plan. They promise a lot and provide nothing.

Medicaid is not insurance... it is a benefit program that one applies for. I'm not sure what you mean by "withdrawal" and "how do i do this with ease?" Are you talking about MediCARE?

Do what? Withdraw? Reapply?

Your profile says:

"I am caring for my mother, who is 81 years old, living at home with age-related decline, alzheimer's / dementia, anxiety, and arthritis."

"This has been a nightmare, Mom has some clear time and then she cannot remember one moment to the next what she just did. Nearly overdosed on medications. Took 6 weeks to get those from her. Will not give up car keys, will not allow help with bills, will not eat a balanced diet. Very combative with me. In denial about her health. Needless to say , I am worried about her well being but she refuses to speak to me. Frustrating doesn’t cover my feelings, how do you help when it is flatly refused."
