Hello my family and I are on Medi-Cal. I take care of my 89 year old grandmother. She has dementia and needs dialysis 3 times a week. Now Medi-Cal is counting her income with ours. This now making my family not eligible for Medi-Cal. I remember reading that I wouldn't have to declare aged or disabled people.

Find Care & Housing
I do have a case worker I'm sure. My 89 year old Grandmother does live with us. She has her own medical account threw Kaiser from my grandfather, who passed away in 2013. She does need constant care with her dementia and kidney dialysis three times a week. We never declared her income as ours. She does not make that much but it's enough to say we don't qualify anymore. I also do not seek to get paid for taking care of her that is a full time job. She is family and I don't feel I should. Thank you for helping me find a answer to this.

Do you have a caseworker? Does your grandmother live with you, or separately?
