The pastor at their church is concerned about my mom losing weight. Dad has mental/physical issues and his driving is bad.

Call the local elder services agency in the town where your parents live. They can direct to the proper source. In my parents' area - it was "meals on wheels" program and a hot meal was delivered each day to their home. This helped in many ways. The food is not always that "good" but nutritional nonetheless. They are providing food in mass quantities for a small fee. Good luck and hope you can find the right resources.

Are they in Louisiana? go to this site and contact your local agency on aging.

I guess because you are asking their church does not provide meals or assistance in signing up for them? Maybe some church members can help them out by offering to drive them or your local aging agency provides transportation?
