Eyeglasses were stolen while in hospital. Shocked at how expensive it is to replace these!
I don't have insurance coverage for this. Any financial aid out there? Some sort of program for a low-income senior, in this predicament?!!
Thanks for any advice and guidance!

Did you check lost and found at the hospital?

Did you check lost and found on the floor?

Glasses are a non theft item unless they have genuine gucci frames.

Probably they were mislaid.

Did you talk to the Nurse? Where were you in the hospital where they could have been left. Did you put them on the bedside table when you went to sleep? If you were in rehab I would say a resident with Dementia took them. Did staff hunt for them? Check the other patients. After Mom lost hers in AL, I took a picture of them. The next time she lost them, we narrowed it down and with the picture were able to get them back.

Call your Office of Aging to see if there is a program. Maybe your eye doctor can make you up a cheap pair. Very basic. I had to have a pair made up for cateract surgery. Had to stop wearing my contacts for a period of time. It was the cheapest frames. Lenses just had bifocals, $100.
