I want my mother to be able to sleep as long as she wants without being woken up every night for a change of brief. The night care giver at her facility says that she is combative when awoken at night. She kicks out and her shin is continually injured, bruised and sometimes left with a huge bleeding gash. This seems more dangerous than going all night without a change. I am at a loss.

There is some overnight pads that can be added to a brief and may last all night depending on her. A waterproof pad to lay on helps too which the facility more than likely has. Just watch for skin breakdown and that she gets washed up well in the morning.

Our facility has me order Sam's xxl incontinence briefs that attach at the sides, even tho she's a medium. They double them somehow with pads and they fit better that way.

FitRight Ultra with any type of pad inside.
It doesn't leak, and is a heavy wetter at night.
A large washable bed pad on the bed and he's good to go.

We’ve tried every brand we could find and the only one that will get my dad through the night without leakage is Tranquility Premium Overnight. When he finally finished using up all the ones that didn’t work at night during the day we started using these during the daytime as well. I believe his behaviors have improved now that he’s not worried about leakage. They’re a little pricey but so worth it. He no longer needs bedpads which helps offset the price.
