It is time to move my parent to a different facility for Stage 6 care: What are the top questions to ask as I interview the care givers & tour the facility?

Generally a facility will tell you if they are not able to provide the necessary level of care and ask you to move, unfortunately there are also places that are struggling to keep their spaces filled and will keep residents anyway, IMO to the detriment of the resident. If you are moving into end stage dementia then you should consider looking for a place that has skilled nursing care available.

What sort of a facility is your parent in now? In general, moving a patient with dementia is ill- advised. Can s/he get additional help where they are?
