Yes, I’ve heard those private geriatric care managers definitely exist in the Harrisburg area. They are often called Aging Life Care Professionals, and their main job is to help families manage and coordinate all the complicated care needs for an older adult. They can be a huge help, especially when you need to figure out the best living situation or health care services for a loved one.

I've actually heard that the best way is usually through the ALCA (Aging Life Care Association) website, since they are the official professional organisation that certifies them.
If you type in your zip code there, it should bring up a list of certified managers right in the Harrisburg area.

You can also specifically look for someone with the CMC(Certified Care Manager) credential for extra peace of mind

The internet is your friend in all things geriatric care. I would go online and type your question in. You might also ask your doctor for guidance here, or social workers involved in your case-care. You may find that your geriatric specialist--your physician can guide you well in this question for your area.

I got good general advice through google by typing in the above. Good luck in your own research for your own area, and understand we are only caregivers or caregivers by history from all over this country, and not a few other countries as well.
