My wife has Parkinson disease and COPD. I love her very much. I been taking care of her for over 3 years 24/7. I'm 65 my wife will be 65 July 5th she's had it for about 7 years. I'm just too overwhelmed and can't handle it anymore. Our house was in bankruptcy and we have to be out of here May 31st 2020. I'm looking to place my wife in a nursing home.

The big question is whether or not the proclamation and "state of disaster" has been extended. I haven't followed Illinois's actions. I did some research but unfortunately don't have the time to review the various proclamations.
I might just call the Governor's office instead of wading through the various proclamations and ask whether the proclamations include a forbearance against foreclosures and evictions pursuant thereto.
If you find that a nursing home is appropriate now, you might want to contact your local Alzheimer's chapter and ask for a list of nursing homes providing the level of care your wife needs. When I've asked for information, it was e-mailed to me within an hour. And the suggestions were good ones.
After reviewing several pages, I called several to find ones that suited my needs, arranged to visit for an interview and inspection, then made a choice.
Using a list can help eliminate some of the ones that might not be suitable, and which you otherwise would not know w/o doing some research.
Be aware though that access is restricted now b/c of the pandemic, so it might be difficult to get in and review the different places available.
I'm sorry for the difficult situation in which you find yourself, and do hope that you're able to locate a place that meets your standards.
