Mom fell off her bed, so I decided to remove the frame. Now her bed stands on four wooden blocks. The ones you find in Bed Bath & Beyond

Unfortunately, she fell again. Thank God both times nothing happened, in other words, no fractures.

I'm overwhelmed with so many different options on Amazon.

I will really appreciate any input.

BTW, she doesn't qualify for Medicaid.

I'm her only caregiver, she's 80 years old with moderate to severe dementia. I'm trying my best to keep her at home.

Thank you all in advance.

I bought a rail that is about 12 inches wide and I had to build a platform for Luz, DW, to aid her getting into and out of the bed. Platform was needed because she was only 4'10" and the bed was just too high. It worked for quite awhile, until she just quit using the bed and slept on the TV love seat.
I don't remember if I bought the rail at Walgreens or WalMart.

I did, but got overwhelmed!
I was trying to get feedback from anyone who has bought one and like it!
Thank you though!

When Mom had a back procedure, I got her a bedrail that is about 18 in wide. She never fell out of bed. She used it to pull herself up using the rail and then using it to stand up. Look up bedrails and u will see what I mean.

Also, there are boxsprings that are only 5 in high. Will bring the bed even lower.
