By turning on the device when you leave the car, the device notes the location of the parked car. Upon leaving a store or other building you push a button on the device and it tells you in which direction you need to go to find the car.
Where can I find one of these?

Hi Dillie,
I see you are in Belpre Ohio!! I did my student teaching there!!! Back in 1993.

Anyway- sorry I don't know of the device you are talking about. I just got excited to see Belpre! You could try a google search. If you have a cell phone you could take a picture of your car where you parked.
I lose my car a lot! One time I lost it at King's Island the Amusment Park during a horrible storm and I had my friend's young daughter with me ( just us 2) and the wind was so bad and we were so lost the poor girl looked at me and said "I don't want to die". I grabbed a cop then and told him we needed help and he drove us around until we found our car!! It can really panic you!!

First off...I used to live in Merced California...now live in Salem Oregon and my parents are back in Dayton Ohio. Jeez, I tied into everyone. I never found a car locator besides the actual car alarm that was reliable. There are apps for your cell phone that do pretty good if your parents have a smartphone. I dept losing my car until I discovered parking in same row whenever possible. If I can't park in favorite row I write down, on my hand, where the freaking car is.

Hi Mishka, It's a small world! I love this site and all the good suggestions people make. My Mother is in Ohio and I'm in Calif. so watching after her get a little challenging. She's still in her own house, but I think she is realizing that can't go on too much longer. I plan to go back there in a couple of weeks to make whatever plans are necessary.
Take care of yourself and SMILE!

Aren't these automatic car openers? I don't know if earlier models have keyless remote entry, but I would check with the dealer for one.

Could you use a handheld GPS and save the location when you park the car?
