The memory care unit that my mom is in keeps messing up her laundry. I've seen her in clothes that don't belong to her and other items that are hers are missing. The memory care unit says that this is a common problem. This bothers me. I'd rather do her laundry myself if they would give me a discount on the rent, but I'm sure they won't do that.

I'm looking for suggestions on laundry tags that we can iron onto Mom's clothes with the hopes of keeping her clothes from disappearing.

I just wrote their names on the inside back neckline with a black laundry pen. It doesn't bleed through if you're worried. I got a rub a dub laundry pen.

I really like the extra small clothing labels from the site labeldaddy.com . They come as a sheet of small stickers with the name very clearly printed, and they launder well. I stick them in everything since they don't need to be ironed on.

I used a regular Sharpie in black on the fabric itself under the label on the back of the garment. It never faded. You can purchase whatever size tip you want; I used a regular standard size Sharpie.

On specific important items, have name embroidered fancy on front of blouse, or anywhere that can be seen by everyone. People will all be saying "Hi Mabel" when they see it on whoever is wearing it.
