If your husband is on Medicaid [which is different from Medicare] see if your State will pay for a spouse to care for their spouse In the past most States didn't, but programs are always changing. Worth a phone call to your State Medicaid office.
Check with the local area council on aging. There may be various volunteer organizations that provide some respite care.
Senior Help Network? The local hospital here has a senior companion program...once a week for up to 6 hours. The local catholic charities has a similar program to pick up seniors and take them to the mall or grocery stores.
