I own my home purchased in 2000 before it was built so I’m the only homeowner it’s a two-story townhome and in the third floor is the attic where the AC unit is about every six months. I have the lines blown out of the AC unit and I always pour bleach in there after the lines are blown out of course the air filter is always changed every month. It’s maintained very well. Well came home from work one day and it was warm in the house. the AC was locked up one working. I turned off the AC unit called out my AC guy. He blew out the lines put some Freon cause I guess it had run out of Freon whatever turned it back on went to work. I was working two jobs came home. I took my dogs out for a walk. Ate a little something changed. My clothes went to my other job which is overnight and I did that for the rest of the week like I normally do and then about a week later I came home from my night job about 7 o’clock in the morning And when I open my front door, my two dogs ran out the front door as soon as I opened it they never do that. They took off running and I just closed the door and I go up running after I get in my car and I have to go find them I could not believe it they were terrified after I find my dogs. I come back to the house and when I open the door to bring them inside I find out why they ran out of the house. My ceiling in the living room is on the floor literally and it’s raining in my living room. It had collapsed. Apparently the AC unit in the attic had gone through the attic floor the second story floor all the way down to my living room and my ceiling fan in the living room was still spinning as water was coming through it. Right after all the repairs were done I promise you not as we were finishing the final touches up of Paint. I was coming home from work and my son is at the front door and he won’t let me in the house and this is after I spent a month in a hotel. I’m at the front door trying to get in and he won’t let me in. I said son I’m tired please let me in. He says mom I don’t know how to tell you and he proceeds to tell me that it is raining in the living room again that it has flooded once again however, this time it came from under the bathroom sink in the master bedroom on the second floor. We ran out of money after most of the repairs were done so the mold I believe is in the attic still that it was not taken care of 100% like it was supposed to and I believe under the floor in maybe the living room and maybe it’s even in the walls I’m not sure but I know for a fact it’s in the attic so whoever took care of it the first time did not do it right as a matter of fact when they saw and brought it to my attention, and I had to mention it to the insurance company and the people that were taking care of it had to charge me more. But that company is no longer in business.

Do call your local council or agency on aging in your area.
We have too little information here; you don't even tell us if you are renting or if you own.
There is mold and there is mold; some is dangerous and most is at least capable of causing allergic responses. It is quite crucial to get some testing done, and of course to find out what damp conditions are causing this growth.
Wishing you good luck.
