mspamroberts, are you asking if you can be paid while you take care of your mother? If yes, note that a vast majority of grown children taking care of their parents are not paid..... unless the parent pays them from their savings. If your Mom can do that, you would need to create an employment agreement stating what are your duties, the number of hours each week, the hourly pay, and who is responsible for the payroll taxes.

What the office of aging offers actually varies from state to state. Not all offer financial assistance.

Contact your Area Agency on Aging for assistance available for you and your mom.
