Go thru an agency to get help. No reputable qualified caregiver is going to work for room and board. Expect to pay $15.00 to $18.00 per hour for a caregiver.

Go through an agency and don’t count on an anonymous forum for caregivers on the Internet. You don’t want to let just anyone into your home, do you? The person should be trained, bonded and insured and go through a background check. Very few people would be willing to accept your offer as there’s more to life than room and board. 24/7 caregiving requires generous monetary compensation.

The reality is that caregivers usually get room & board PLUS a salary, you may be able to find someone who will take you up on your offer but I would question the ability and motivation of anyone that does.
