Is there a program in Tennessee that still pays a family member to take care of parent who has dementia?

Tennessee’s Medicaid program TennCare does have a program but if you are moms guardian or POA you aren’t eligible for it. Also your profile says you are on SS disability so I dont know if you can be paid to take care of her since you are unable to work....

If there is, it would likely be through Medicaid and a very small amount. Aid and Attendance through the VA may be an option. Call your Area Agency on Aging to learn about programs that are available in Tennessee.
