My grandmother has alzimers and my grandfather just passed away my mom and my aunt are constantly fighting about putting my grandmother on a assisted living facility alzimers unit but my mom doesn't like that idea and wants home health care, she said she'd agree to the assisted living facility if she got joint guardianship. Is that even possible?

Joint Guardian is possible only when both parties are in agreement and will work together. I don't see this happening since they disagree. I should point out that Assisted Living may not take an Alzheimer's patient if the patient cannot get to meals, toilet independently and follow directions cooperatively.

I have joint guardianship of my son along with my husband, his father. So yes, it is possible- at least in a situation such as ours.
