Is a widow of a veteran eligible for benefits if she is 1st wife & 2nd wife is still living. Also there was no divorce from 1st wife.

um.....how can there be a 2nd living wife if there was no divorce from the first wife? What am I a missing here? How can the veteran have 2 surviving widows without there being a divorce from 1? A common law situation?

My current husband as an ex wife she gets 50% of his retirement. When the husband dies I will get his retirement. When the ex wife dies I will get her portion as well.

If they aren’t living together, she most likely would not be eligible.
