I am employed by friend of family, as the live-in caregiver & work the night shift(6pm to 830am 7 days a week). Additionally we have: Hospice Elderly home health RN, bather & LMSW- who all come to help care. Yet recently, 1 of the day caregivers who is employed privately, decided she is going to be the "boss"(she has no med.lic but has teacher lic.)--*as my initial question stated, how do I ATTEMPT to work/remain civil with someone who assumes to correct/boss and bully to get her way? She states she is "a prophet, a leader & being bossy is her personality"...(indeed). While I do not pretend to know it all, but I do have some know- how-to give care & assist with elderly, (knowing that no 2 cases or clients are the same). It seems that she assumes I answer to heh, but I have not been instructed to do so. Other ladies on our "care team" have also stated their difficulty working with her...I want to remain professional & respectful, regardless of her bullying tactics and rudeness. But I have to say, she crosses the line when she tells me to go to my room & shut up...
