From what I understand every case is different depending on the complexity. We had Moms application appointment in July and she finally got her approval in December. This wa in NY. As soon as the application was submitted she became “Medicaid Pending”, we selected a NH, and she moved in October, still Medicaid Pending. Medicaid said she was actually a pretty easy applcation, having no house to sell or assets to liquidate. The things that took so long was a dispute between Medicare vs Aetna over an old bill, and a search for her missing divorce decree, which we never found and they gave up.
